Game Night #4: Han Solo Card Game

THE PLAYERS:

Savannah v. Jessie (Dad)

I picked this game up at Ollie’s over the holiday season last year and it comes in a really small box and was dirt cheap so I thought we’d give it a try.

It’s really uncomplicated but has enough to it where it’s fun.  You have a pile of weapons, ships & tech from the Star Wars universe (mostly from Solo) with varying values on them.  You play your deck of cards, trying to get the lowest score possible by getting matches.  The wild card is you have to roll a set of dice and if they hit the same symbols, you must discard and redraw all your cards.  There are 3 rounds of this, so the game is brisk and keeps it fun.

Now, I’m not sure why this wasn’t called Sabaac which is the famous game Lando and Han play – instead it has this completely generic name “Han Solo Card Game.”

I misplaced our scores from the first two games- suffice to say, they went quick and we split games between us.  Keep this in mind: Savannah is no fan of Star Wars- whatsoever- but she really liked this game.  It’s a fun card game your kids will like once you get it down which will take all of 5 minutes.
